Our Mission

MoveOn is the largest digitally connected data-driven grassroots organization in the U.S., allowing millions of members to express themselves and have an impact on a host of important issues. The MoveOn Education Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, focuses on fueling the broader progressive movement through organizational partnerships; the development of more-robust community education, capacity building, and community building opportunities; and sustained organizing on impactful, long-arc campaigns that matter most to MoveOn members.

The long track record of inspiring work by MoveOn members and supporters has led to game-changing efforts to ensure we’re building a country that works for all of us. Scroll down to learn more about the issues that we work on together,  from democracy defense to gun violence prevention, economic justice to health care, and more.

Together, we have accomplished so much – and we’ll continue to fight for a future where all of us can thrive.

MoveOn Civic Action is a 501(c)(4) which primarily focuses on nonpartisan education and advocacy on important national issues.

Our Values

We strive to uproot white supremacy, misogyny, and other forms of systemic oppression.

Human Rights

Economic security, good jobs, and health care access are human rights that must be accessible to all.

Defending Democracy

Our democracy is for all of us – owned and driven by people, not by billionaires and giant corporations.

Foreign policy

Diplomacy and peace are revered instead of war.

climate justice

We will protect the planet for all of us and our future generations.

Immigrant & Refugee rights

We welcome immigrants and refugees.

Individuals are empowered to make choices for their own lives and families, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, age, religion, background, or nation of origin.
