Our Mission

MoveOn Education Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, works to empower MoveOn members and educate the public on important issues, including economic inequality, human rights, democracy, gender equity, gun violence, foreign policy, climate crisis, racial justice, immigrant rights, and more. MoveOn Education Fund’s long-term goal is to build a democracy where all people have the chance to thrive, free from systemic racism, misogyny, violence, and oppression.

The long track record of inspiring, game-changing efforts by MoveOn members and supporters ensures that we’re building a country that works for all of us. Scroll down to learn more about the values that shape our work.

Together, we have accomplished so much already, and we’ll continue to fight for a future where all of us can thrive.

Our Values

We strive to uproot white supremacy, misogyny, and other forms of systemic oppression.

Human Rights

Economic security, good jobs, and health care access are human rights that must be accessible to all.

Defending Democracy

Democracy is for all of us, and must be owned and driven by people, not by billionaires and corporations.

Foreign policy

Diplomacy and peace, not war, are to be revered.

climate justice

We will protect the planet for us, and for future generations.

Immigrant & Refugee rights

We welcome immigrants and refugees.

Individuals must be empowered to make choices for their own lives and families, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, age, religion, background, or nation of origin.
